Boots For Him: Four Fearless Outdoor Occupations

Some occupations don't glue you within the four corners of a nine-to-five desk job. Here's another surprise, a common denominator for some of these outdoor jobs is the boots that you get to wear while working. Read on to find out what some of these interesting occupations are and the right kind of boots for them.

• FIREFIGHTING. When you get an adrenalin rush trying to put out the fires of a burning building and trying to rescue the trapped inhabitants, firefighting could be your bread and butter. For you to even be allowed near the burning building, you must be properly garbed. If there's at least one type of boots that doesn't fret about breathability, that type of boots is one for firefighting.

Firefighting boots are waterproof and are designed to withstand high temperatures. Because these boots aren't breathable, expect your feet to feel the heat whenever you're putting the boots on. The best part is that even though you feel the heat, you won't get burnt.

• MOTOR CROSS RACING. Speed, nice cars and cool chicks go with this prestigious occupation so if you're up for some motor cross racing challenge, don a pair of motor cross boots. This type of boots is made from a combination of materials such as metals, leather and plastic, all of which are intended to give your feet and legs the protection, flexibility, form and lightness needed during the race. The soles are not heeled, so you can rev up your ride to your heart's content with the least impediments as possible.

• RANCHING. Add functional meaning to the glorified profession of being a cowboy, and try earning your keep in the ranch. There are definitely a number of boots that you could try on there.

If your job is to gaud horses and to make rounds in acres of farmland, you'll want to sport buckaroo boots, packer boots, riding boots or maybe the plain-looking but very much adventurous roper boots. If you want to show off and look hot to the ladies, without compromising the functionality of your attire, you can definitely sport fancier boots in the ranch, especially those with awesome designs and to-die-for spurs. A special feature of boots shared by both ranchers and cowboys are pointy toes and high heels, which serve to keep the boots from slipping off from the stirrups.

• SNAKE HUNTING. When you're trekking the grasslands, you'll have to wear snake-boots. Snake hunting is for you if you love the wild lands and if you have a penchant and the heart to hunt for those reptiles which are the object of fear and amazement by many, as well as the object of disdain by some ranchers. There are a number of reasons why you are paid to hunt snakes, but if you work for a ranch, you will understand that you must hunt snakes because they are becoming a threat to the cattle. The boots may look very ordinary, but they are made to resist the punctures of nasty snake fangs, thorns and twigs.
